The First Peer to Peer Recovery Center Opens in Atlantic County, NJ with Patrick J Kennedy as Guest of Honor!

Galloway Township, New Jersey, June 2, 2014 – The Hope All Day Recovery Center announces their grand opening on Monday, June 16th of the first Peer to Peer Recovery Center in Atlantic County and only the third in existence in the entire State of New Jersey. The Honorable Patrick J Kennedy, Former United States Representative and lead sponsor of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008 will be the guest of honor and featured speaker.

The former congressman and local resident, Patrick J. Kennedy said, “A peer to peer recovery center like Hope All Day will bring the positive face of recovery to Atlantic County. This center will help people in recovery overcome barriers and change the perception of people working to maintain healthy lives in long term recovery.”

The Hope All Day Recovery Center is unique in that it is staffed and run entirely by volunteers who all are in recovery. The Center will offer peer to peer support where individuals in recovery from alcohol and drugs, their families and supporters gather for fellowship, learning and social events that lead to healthy lifestyles and long term recovery.

“There is no clinical treatment or licensed counselors, just peer to peer support which is proven to be key in sustaining and fostering long term recovery,” President and founder Chris Macomber explained, “There is something missing in the process of recovery here in NJ and we are hoping to bridge that gap. We want to be a resource to provide free support services in a fun safe environment that will nurture physical, emotional and spiritual growth in individuals. We want to be there for people in between meetings and after rehabilitation to continue to encourage all to find hope in the recovery process! ”

The Hope All Day Recovery Center is located off of Tilton Road on 600 S. Odessa Ave in Egg Harbor City, NJ within Galloway Township. The Recovery Center is located in a stand-alone 6,500 square foot building set on a private landscaped property and is open 7 days a week, 9 AM to 5 PM with extended hours for meetings and special events.
