James Parker Jr – March 19, 1947 – November 6, 2018

Parker Jr., James, - 71, of Galloway, Passed away on November 6, 2018 peacefully in Galloway Township, NJ , with his loving family surrounding him, after a brief illness. He was born in Philadelphia, PA but grew up in Berlin, NJ and attended Camden County Vocational School where he made life-long friends. He married and moved to Cologne, NJ where he resided with his wife of 51 years, Patricia. He worked as an Engineering Technician at Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton, NJ and then was transferred to Richmond, Virginia to Wyeth Pharmaceuticals until his retirement. Jim's passion was surf fishing in Brigantine and Cape Hatteras. He designed his own rods for most of his life and donated many to charity. He enjoyed volunteering with Hooked On Fishing, Not Drugs and FACES 4 Autism. Jim was a lifelong member of South Jersey Squid Hounds, Happy Go Lucky Gunning Club and the Beach Buggy Association. Jim will forever be remembered by his beloved wife Patricia, children Kimberly Parker Goodman (Samuel) of Egg Harbor Township and James Parker of Hammonton. Grandchildren Brianna Arroyo (Manny), Matthew Goodman and Cierra Goodman. Great Grandchildren Manuel and Melanie Montoya. Siblings Bruce Parker and Ellen Kurz as well as many friends and family. Jim is predeceased by his parents James Sr and Ellen Parker. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday November 15 from 10-11 AM with a service at 11:00AM at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E.
